Lara Odebiyi
Lara founded Lydia Hearts Initiative, a Not-for-profit organization Nigeria in 2007. Her dream to help less privileged women find hope and a future, through her free skill acquisition training school and poverty alleviation program, in order to improve the standard of living, supporting families, and educating the children of the less privileged.
She is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Dabira magazine, an online lifestyle magazine for women focused on empowerment, education and personal development.
She is The Founding President at Dabira Woman Global Network established in 12 Sub- Saharan African countries.
She founded the Women Educating Girls Initiative in 2015, an educational & mentorship program for teenage girls in under-funded secondary schools in Nigeria.
Lara heads the executive council for Women of Influence and Leadership Global Summit.
She has received several awards on humanitarian and community development work both locally and Internationally for her dedication, support and service to the less privileged communities across Africa.
Lara sits on the board of WS Johnson Ltd, a Real estate consulting firm in Lagos, Nigeria. She is a member of the board of trustees at The magazine training International MTI USA.
She was appointed in 2018 as a Humanitarian ambassador at Global Goodwill Ambassadors to Nigeria, elected as a Country Director and also an Italian Ambassadorial appointment at Greenden Ambassador to Nigeria on agriculture and its environment.
A Family & Life Therapist by profession, Lara focuses on women issues, and mentorship programs for young girls.
Her desire is to see every woman live a meaningful & purposeful life.
